It is well known throughout all the land that I, Marcela, am a lazy b!tch. Yes, you read that correctly. Somethings I just can’t be bothered to do. So, this article goes out to all my other lazy b!tche$ who, like me, cannot be bothered to flip their summer & winter wardrobe. Who in their godly mind has the time to flip their closet and put away perfectly cute clothes just because of some nippy weather? Answer: People who have WAY too much time on their hands. In other words, NO ONE. Like come onnnnn! There is no season for fabulous. I don’t discriminate.
So today, I’ve decided to show ya’ll some outfit suggestions with tips and tricks on how to turn your summer clothes into stylish winter outfits while still keeping you all warm & cozy. This is especially handy if you’re in college, have a shoe-box-sized closet (like me), or can’t keep swapping half your closet when mother nature is feeling a little moody. So without further ado, these are my tips & tricks on how to stay warm and stay slaying this winter.
Tip numero uno: LAYERS
Layering will not only keep you warm, but it can also add fun dimensions to your outfits, making you look as if you are naturally more stylish.
Tip #2: Channel your inner Blair Waldorf and wear tights with everything…scratch the head band though.
I don’t know who in their right mind thinks pants alone can keep them warm in the winter…they can’t. Follow tip #1 and layer some tights underneath your pants or a jumpsuit to give you that extra layer of warmth your hidden hairy legs just can’t give you during the winter time.
I like to call tip three my Steve Jobs moment. 90s styles are back in full force, so rock that turtle neck and never look back darling. Not to mention they are great for hiding double chins around the holiday season :)))) If you know, you know.
Tip #4: Thigh highs will save you. Buy them. Wear them. Love them. Trust me.
Last but not least, tip numero cinco. Don’t be afraid to mix in traditional summer pieces like dresses, skirts, and jumpsuits with your winter wardrobe. It might feel foreign at first, but start with basics then work your way up to prints for some extra fun.
Most importantly, stay warm and stay cute loves! Thanks for reading, and let me know in the comments section what your favorite look was.
