Bishop Arts Brunchin’

Nothing is better than a random Friday morning brunch with the bae. And since we re both obsessed with breakfast food, Edgar and I decided to try something new and visit Odd Fellows in the Bishop Arts District.

Like the big foodies we are, both Edgar and I each ordered our own appetizers AND an entrée. I started off with some Avocado Toast while he enjoyed his southern style Sausage Biscuits & Gravy. Both were extremely delicious and had us over the moon with flavor

However, the entrées we ordered were the show stoppers! Edgar ordered Fried Chicken & Waffles, which he inhaled in 0.3 seconds. I on the other hand decided to branch out from my usual Eggs Benedict obsession and venture into uncharted territory for me. Though not something I would typically order, the Huevos Rancheros (Brisket Hash) had me drowning in a mouthful of flavor. But I didn’t stray too far away from comfort as I ordered my choice of any styled eggs to be none other than Eggs Benedict…I couldn’t resist.

My favorite part of the meal was by far the drinks! My vanilla latte and Edgar’s jasmine green tea were the best parts of the meal. My boyfriend and I are a biiiiiiig green tea couple, but there is just something about some nice cold tea and a sunny day that just makes for a perfect time.

After breakfast, we walked around the Bishop Arts District exploring the quaintest little boutiques. From florists to vintage stores, Bishop Arts was the perfect destination for a spontaneous Friday morning. Make sure to check out Odd Fellows the next time you’re craving some brekky.
